After a distinguished career dedicated to roll design and engineering, Pete Eggen has retired from Precision Roll Solutions and from the roll manufacturing industry he helped shape over several decades.
Pete built a reputation as one of the industry's most respected roll design engineers, a true expert in both technical execution and practical application. His customers, colleagues, and teammates all recognized his deep knowledge, his ability to focus on what truly mattered in a project, and his constant drive to not only meet performance specs, but also to identify ways to manage cost and improve outcomes for the customer.
Throughout his career, Pete instilled a culture of technical excellence, clear communication, and unwavering customer commitment. Whether the challenge was a complex heat transfer roll, a vacuum pull roll, or a highly specialized custom application, Pete’s thoughtful, methodical approach made him a go-to resource across the industry. His calming confidence and ability to simplify complex problems will be deeply missed by everyone who worked with him.
At Precision Roll Solutions, we’ve been fortunate to have a talented team of engineers and technical specialists who worked closely with Pete, learning from his methodology and benefiting from his mentorship over the years. We're also fortunate that Pete remains just a phone call away for the occasional deep technical question.
As Pete moves into a well-earned retirement, his legacy remains in expert hands. Chad Gezella, Tom Kawula, Cody Endries, and Eric Harkoff, each with decades of roll-engineering and manufacturing experience, worked side by side with Pete and are fully prepared to support any project he began and every new challenge ahead.
