Details
Ensure the smooth and efficient coordination of all incoming and outgoing product inspections.
- Promote a safe working environment. Identify and demonstrate use of machine safety and personal protection equipment. Demonstrate compliance with safety procedures, OSHA requirements and guidelines.
- Coordinate all incoming and outgoing product inspections. Generate and complete all required inspection reporting.
- Utilizes and maintains measuring instruments such as (but not limited to) micrometers, pie tape, depth gauges, microscopes, hardness measuring devices, and tape measure.
- Confirms product meets all customer requirements such as dimensions, gloss measurements, surface finish and labeling requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any quality issues.
- Packs products according to customer/PRS requirements. Products must be properly protected from potential shipping damage. This may require box/crate modifications.
- Miscellaneous housekeeping and maintenance to ensure clean and safe work area.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and Gemba’s.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Proven experience in quality field, preferably in manufacturing environment.
- Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Adaptable to changing work environment with competing demands and frequent changes.
- Ability to stand or walk for an 8-10 hour shift.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
