Details

Ensure the smooth and efficient coordination of all incoming and outgoing product inspections.

  • Promote a safe working environment. Identify and demonstrate use of machine safety and personal protection equipment. Demonstrate compliance with safety procedures, OSHA requirements and guidelines.
  • Coordinate all incoming and outgoing product inspections.   Generate and complete all required inspection reporting.
  • Utilizes and maintains measuring instruments such as (but not limited to) micrometers, pie tape, depth gauges, microscopes, hardness measuring devices, and tape measure.
  • Confirms product meets all customer requirements such as dimensions, gloss measurements, surface finish and labeling requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve any quality issues.
  • Packs products according to customer/PRS requirements. Products must be properly protected from potential shipping damage. This may require box/crate modifications.
  • Miscellaneous housekeeping and maintenance to ensure clean and safe work area.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and Gemba’s.

 

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Proven experience in quality field, preferably in manufacturing environment.
  • Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Adaptable to changing work environment with competing demands and frequent changes.
  • Ability to stand or walk for an 8-10 hour shift.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
